New Hampshire, Wedding, Boston Trip

We went out to Boston for a long weekend last week. One of my mission companions and old roommates got married. She lived in New Hampshire and was so great to have her uncle put us up for a couple days. She lives in a very small town in the country and it was very pretty.

They were married in the Boston temple, which is beautiful. It fits in with the architecture of Boston i feel like. It looks like one of the older churches with the really tall steeple and stained glass.

We did a lot of the freedom trail in Boston. It goes around to a bunch of historical sites from the beginnings of America. we first toured the shipyard where there is a super old ship from the 1700's. We didn't tour that one but they also had a WWII destroyer that we did tour. this was the replica of the store in the ship.

Bunker hill monument. We climbed 294 steps to the top of that tower. It was difficult and exhausting. Even worse because it was in the 90's and very humid. I gave up even trying to not sweat at that point. I gave myself up to it.

there was a very cool outdoor market in downtown Boston. I loved it and decided i wanted to buy something there. We bought peaches and they were nasty. I'm sure most of the other things were great. But if you ever go, don't by the peaches. I was so disappointed.

My first time on business class on the way home from Boston. It was fantastic. After trying to get on a flight all day to Denver standby paid off for us with these sweet seats. It was a wonderful flight home.

Marty's little cousin followed us throughout our journey. We saw him in Boston and again in Wyoming.

All in all it was a great trip. A great last Hurrah before David starts his new job next week. I'll let him blog about all the specifics but yes he got a job!!! It's in Salt Lake so I'm now looking for work up there too. (if you know of anything let me know!) We're looking to buy a home up there and get ourselves settled down for a while! We're very excited!!!

Our ward had a hike planned for an activity. We invited sukie, wudan and the boy because since Moab they've been loving the hiking and wanting more. We got together ridiculously early (6:45am on Saturday) for an amazing pancake breakfast (not pictured). It was worth it but it was early. Really early. The hike was very easy and pretty short but the waterfall was nice and it was fun to do.

It was a great weekend activity. Later that day we played some beans, had hot dogs, went up to salt lake and to a funky craft fair downtown. It was super fun and worth not sleeping in for sure.

Another interesting medical condition

I have the strangest things happen to me.

A couple of days ago my jaw started to hurt. Not terribly but just kind of annoying. So i gave it a day or two to see if it would get better on it's own. Nope. No such luck. It got a bit worse the second day and today(third day) it hasn't gotten worse but not better either. So today i called the nurse to see if i should go to a dentist or doctor. Dentist was the verdict and so i called mine up to see if i could get in today. Just my luck there was an opening just then.

When i got there the dentist asked some questions and did some interesting little tests to see where the pain was. Tests included tapping on my teeth with the dental instruments, feeling my gums and moving my jaw around. After that he told me that he was pretty sure it was a sprain. He said there's no way of knowing really until it goes away. ( Like if the treatment works then that's what it was.) So i get to take 3 Advil 3 times a day for 2 weeks. Hopefully it will get all better from that.

Apparently jaw sprains aren't very common but they do happen. he said that it usually happens while you sleep. my sprain isn't very bad. it should heal fine. Some people it takes 3 months to heal. So I'm glad I'm not that type of sprain!!! So i should be back to normal in a couple of weeks. And i have something else weird to add to the list of interesting medical problems I've had.

Little Girl?

We went to lunch today for my boss's birthday. She wanted to take a group picture and had the waiter do it. He couldn't see me apparently but he said "i can't see the little blond girl in the corner." Little girl? Really? I'm 24. I don't really look young for my age i think. Even if i do i look at least 20. And I'm married so i at least have to be 18. Little girl? Not flattering. LOL.
