New decorations

On Friday my boss walked into the office. Looked at our decorations and told me that they are getting boring and I need to change them. Haha awesome! I said "OK I'll do something 4th of July". My boss told me that the 4th is too soon and instead to do something Pioneer themed for Pioneer day. Again, awesome!

1. It's not in the job description to put decorations up. It's just something we do when we get bored.

2. Those decorations had only been up for a month and she never sees them haha.

So, Friday afternoon we changed the decorations. We found some awesome covered wagon clip art and some sweet oxen. Now our office is all decked out to celebrate Pioneer day. I think it's hilarious. It cracks me up that Pioneer day is a state holiday in Utah. I won't complain about a paid day off though.

House Sitting

House sitting for Carebear and Frik has been fun but I'm not gonna lie, I'm kind of glad it's over :) For any who know Duke, he's great but he can get really obnoxious and quite needy. He gave me a guilt trip every day when I had to lock him up to go to work. He's a sweetheart though. I'll be happy to house sit again in the future.

There wasn't much excitement during all the house sitting but David and I did get some Heros watching in. He got me hooked. The show is awesome and I'll be all caught up for the next season!

I took my grandma to lunch on Saturday. It was pretty fun but I didn't feel great. Also, Saturday my hip decided to act up. It makes me so angry! The medicine is supposed to be helping and then I sleep wrong one night and my hip hurts like I haven't been doing NOTHING for the past month or so. I wasn't very happy about it. Today it feels a bit better though and I'm feeling slightly more optimistic.

Finally, I'm so excited for the 4th of July! Yay for America! This will be my first 4th of July celebrated in the states in 2 years so I'm looking forward to the fireworks and fun. It's also going to be great because I'm going to caliente and I'm so excited! Fun fun fun!

Cutest thing ever!

Yesterday I was doing laundry at Carebear's (gotta love free laundry:). While I was waiting for the laundry we were just talking and Carebear was cleaning up the kitchen. Alice woke up from her nap so Carebear was putting her on her back in the carrier. While do this, Alice was laying on Carebear's back and she apparently thought it was hilarious because she let out the cutest laugh/scream of pure joy ever! It was the cutest thing ever! I love that little girl and I'm so lucky that I get to see her almost every day!

Hyena Laugh

I work in an office working with many professors. Working here I have gotten to know little things about the professors. Some have very messy offices, some get really offended if you don't call them Dr. whatever.
For those of you who work with or have worked with me I'm sure that you know exactly who I am talking about when I say there is a professor with the laugh of a Hyena. Seriously she has this silence piercing cackle. You can here her all the way down the hall. When she laughs you think that the most hilarious thing ever must have happened. I can't help but chuckle when she laughs because it is such an intense laugh. It keeps the office interesting, you never know when the cackle will pierce the silence and shake the day up.

I've been at work for 2 hours now and not a single other person has come in. We no professors or other secretaries or any questions, just the girl that collects the recycling. Only 8 hours to go :)

The dizziness and nausea of the other day have subsided a bit. The first couple hours after I wake up are still pretty bad but I'm getting used to it. I'm still debating staying on the medication or just stopping now. I only have 2 more weeks on it but I'm not sure I want to feel like this for 2 weeks. The worst thing about it is that I can't really leave work and now I have everyone asking how I feel so I'm trying to learn to hide it. If I don't pretty soon people are going to start thinking I'm pregnant or something. (I am definitely not pregnant!)

Despite the dizziness I finished both of my finals and am now free for the summer. Well just kind of free. I'll probably take an independent study class so that I will have something to do while I'm at work. As slow as work is during the school year it is even slower during the summer. So if I want to keep my sanity I'm going to have to have something else to do.

So I suppose that's it. I'm done with finals, work is boring, and I still feel dizzy and nauseous. Happy Friday!

Stupid Medicine

I'm so dizzy that I'm afraid that i'm going to pass out and i actually feel like i want to throw up. I hate my medicine. I forgot to take it last night so i took it this morning. Bad, bad idea! The worst part about feeling like this is that i have to stay at work and i have to study for a final this afternoon. Not good.What a i really need is to go home and sleep the effects off for a couple hours.

In other news I am super white and burnable. I sat in the sun for lunch yesterday for 20 minutes and now have a pretty decent sunburn on my shoulders and back that was exposed. ridiculous!

Oh well thus is life.
