I went to the bathroom today at work and there were two professors talking right in front of the bathroom door. I had to say "Excuse me" to get them to move to let me in. Now you would think that knowing that i went in and would soon be coming out they would move their conversation. No when i left the bathroom they had moved more fully blocking the doorway than before. I had to literally squeeze past. Way to go.

So soon forgotten

at work my coworker, Rebecca and i are learning about the presidents of the united states. Each day we research a president, chronologically from Washington on. well we were talking about the recent election and vice presidents. well we totally forgot McCain. we forgot his name it took us a good minute to come up with him. No problem remembering Palin but totally forgot McCain. "Gone too soon"

I've decided that i hate Mary Kay

So Carebear had a Mary Kay party last weekend. I went to be supportive, i couldn't really afford to buy anything but i went any way. it was a facial party so we did the face wash and the moisturizer and the foundation. It was fine until i started breaking out like crazy the couple days after it. Not cool Mary Kay not cool. They say that their products have nothing that will clog pores. Lies. Well at least for me. My skin is semi-sensitive. Whatever i use it gets used to but if i change things up it will freak out a bit before acclimating itself. So I've decided I'm not going to Mary Kay or similar parties again because my skin does not like it. So if you've been thinking about doing one and putting me on your invite list. Thanks but no thanks. I will not be attending.

One of those mornings...

So i had a job interview this morning. I had planned out in my mind what i was going to wear and knew how much time i needed to get ready and everything. Well this morning i woke up and went to get my stuff ready to take a shower. I couldn't fine the pants i wanted to wear. So i decided to just take a shower and look for them after. After i still couldn't find them and i looked everywhere. I looked in every drawer, my closed, the dirty cloths, the washer and dryer, backpacks, under the bed. Everywhere. They were no where to be found. So i opted for something else. A skirt and nice top. The skirt i like but it needs a slip. I have one but, surprise, that was also no where to be found. So i gave up on that and decided to dry my hair and do my make up. I plugged in my hairdryer and started at it. It's making some weird noises but i think it will make it through. Nope, about a third of the way through the motor gives out. I have a section of dry hair and the rest is wet. I look ridiculous. So i throw out the hair dryer and move on to make up. That all went fine. Then i had the brilliant idea to dry my hair with the fan. It worked. My hair got dry. But as i was sitting on the bed with a fan to my head i thought, "This is so ridiculous. What a morning."

At the end of the day (aka morning, aka 9am) i was at my interview in a skirt that was riding because i couldn't find a slip and hair that was blown dry with a fan. It went well i think. I guess I'll find out soon. This was the second interview and there is yet a personality profile and another interview. Kind of an intense process but hopefully it will leave me with a better job.

Moab of weekends past: 4th of July, Beware many pictures.

Fill or Bust in the frying pan! Sweet! I was venganced twice and almost everyone else got it once.

Cool frog we saw on the beginning of our Delicate Arch hike.

Delicate. It's a great hike. And by far the most majestic of the arches, in my opinion.

I love this photo. It's the view through delicate arch. Beautiful place.

David holding delicate up.

4th of July friends. We had a blast despite the boy's bipolar love/hate relationship with hiking, Marty's theft of striker's nuts and little bit of crankiness on my part. The weekend rocked!!!

Gummy worm's while hiking. Love it!

One of the window arches.

The top of window arch. I love this shot too. I just think it's cool to see the sky on each side of this huge slab of rock. I like the crack in this one too.

Liked this one because the arch is totally in shadow while the rest of the landscape isn't.

Tunnel Arch. This one was cool because you can't see this arch from the other side of the trail. It's interesting.

Pine tree arch.

Landscape arch.

David built this little cairn.

Be the arch, wudan, be the arch.

The food was great! We had hot dogs, hamburgers, kabobs, dutch oven scalloped potatoes and pork tenderloin and pizza. It was a fantastic time!

And it was the 4th of July!!! I didn't get great pictures of the fireworks but they were good. We had a good view from the bleachers. It was a good time.

I've decided that every 4th of July i want to go to a national park, camp, hike, enjoy time with friends and enjoy the beauty in our country. I can't think of a better way to celebrate. The contender locations for next year (provided that we are still in this area) are Zions, Yellowstone, or Yosemite. Any takers? Would love to go with any and all interested friends/family.

Moab of weekends past: Raft for the cure

Chilling in the rafts after most of the festivities and tragedies (the boy's fall) of the day. I love how wudan looks half dead and sukie is engrossed in the People (Jon and Kate) and the boy is looking over menacingly. LOL

Yay for friends. Yay for raft for the cure!

Rebecca setting up camp. It was a blast with Rebecca and Jamie from work too.

Party in the car. Surprisingly this is totally a candid shot. You girls are so photogenic.

Hate....

When I leave work knowing that something is messed up pretty bad, through no fault of my own, and I'm going to have to come back tomorrow and deal with it.

It's going to be one of those days.

I'm thinking mental health day.
