I had oral surgery yesterday. I have receeding gums so they had to do a little skin graft. I opted for the IV sedation rather than just the shots because the idea of what they did grosses me out. The type of IV sedation they used is called "conscious sedation" so i was never unconscious. I could hear everything they were doing and saying but i didn't care at all. It was kind of weird. After it was over i took some anti-nausea meds because i always get sick from IV sedation. Thankfully the meds have been working, so far no throwing up. David took me home and i pretty much slept the whole night. I got home and 4pm and slept until 6 am. 14 hours. With a little awake time for eating dinner. It felt nice! I'm still super tired though from the meds. The pain meds and the anti-nausea stuff make me really tired and out of it. i'm at work now and i've been told to go home many times. I will soon! The surgery wasn't too bad and i'm not in too much pain, it's just a little bit sore. I'm excited to just go home and sleep for the rest of the day. Which i will in just a couple minutes :)
PS. I am offically and old woman. I took 5 pills when i went to bed last night: Birth Control, Anti-nausea, Antibiotic, and two pain killer. Crazy huh? No fighting it, i'm just old!!!

I had some wisdom teeth removed a year ago. The best part: the post-op vicodin prescription. It was like the greatest thing ever. No wonder so many people get addicted to that stuff.
careful! antibiotics lower the effectiveness of taking a birth control pill :(
